Who operates Syllaboo

Syllaboo is a homeschool planning service operated and sold by Rosterd LLC. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to getrosterd@gmail.com.

Information we collect

• Adult account information, including email address and authentication data.
• Family and child information an authorized adult chooses to provide, such as first name, grade, birth month and year, schoolwork, progress, habits, chores, and rewards.
• Curricula, lesson plans, documents, images, resources, grades, schedules, notes, and other content you submit.
• Subscription, transaction, and billing status. Payment-card details are collected and processed by Stripe and are not stored by Syllaboo.
• Technical and security information such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the service; authenticate accounts; organize curricula and schedules; generate requested AI-assisted results; process subscriptions; provide support; prevent abuse; diagnose failures; and comply with law. We do not sell personal information or use a child’s information for behavioral advertising.

Children and parental control

Syllaboo accounts are for adults age 18 or older. A parent, guardian, or other authorized adult creates and controls the family account and decides what child information to provide. Children may use the parent-controlled child view, but may not create independent accounts. The account owner can review, correct, export, or request deletion of child information by contacting us. Do not submit more information about a child than is reasonably necessary to use the service.

AI-assisted features

When you choose an AI-assisted feature, the curriculum material, prompt, image, or related context needed to fulfill that request may be sent to OpenAI. Do not upload Social Security numbers, financial-account details, medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive information. AI output can be inaccurate and should be reviewed by an adult.

Service providers and analytics

We use vendors to operate Syllaboo, including Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage; Vercel for hosting and delivery; Stripe for billing and payments; OpenAI for requested AI-assisted features; Google Analytics for aggregated traffic measurement on public marketing pages; and transactional email providers for account and service messages. Google Analytics may receive public page paths, approximate location, device and browser information, and referral source. Analytics is disabled on authenticated family and child pages, and we do not send child profile content, curriculum content, grades, or payment-card details to Google Analytics. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us or as legally required.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information while the account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Account owners may request access, correction, export, or deletion at getrosterd@gmail.com. We will verify the requester’s identity and delete or de-identify information unless retention is legally required. Backup copies may remain temporarily until routine backup expiration.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted network connections, and row-level database authorization. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and state rights

You may update information in the service, disable optional features, cancel a subscription, or request access, correction, export, or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable right.

Changes and contact
